Raahee is the data controller responsible for your personal data. For any data protection enquiries, you may contact us at the address listed in our Impressum. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer as we are not legally required to do so, but all privacy requests can be directed to our contact address.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Account data: email address, encrypted password, and authentication tokens.
• Profile data: name, age, gender, location, occupation, education, photos, and any information you provide during onboarding or in your Life Map.
• Preferences: matching preferences, deal-breakers, and compatibility priorities.
• Connection data: interests expressed, matches, and messages exchanged with other users.
• Usage data: device information, approximate location (country/city), log data, and interaction data collected via cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
• Verification data: information you submit for identity or photo verification.

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:

• Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): to provide the matchmaking Service you requested when you registered.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for processing of photos, verification data, analytics and marketing cookies, and any optional data you choose to share.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): for platform security, fraud prevention, improving the Service, and communicating with you about your account.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we are required to retain data by law.

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To build your Life Map and generate compatibility matches with other users.
• To facilitate connections and conversations between matched users.
• To verify identities and maintain a safe, authentic community.
• To provide AI-assisted features such as conversation suggestions and reflection guidance.
• To improve, secure, and develop the Service.
• To send you service notifications, and — with your consent — marketing communications.

Raahee uses AI models to process your onboarding answers, Life Map, and profile data in order to generate compatibility insights, match explanations, and conversation suggestions. This processing is based on your consent and our legitimate interest in providing the Service. AI-generated outputs are suggestions only and do not constitute guarantees. You may object to AI processing or request human review of any automated decision by contacting us.

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of recipients:

• Other users: limited profile information and compatibility insights, as governed by your visibility settings. Your raw Life Map answers are never shared directly.
• Service providers: hosting, authentication, email delivery, analytics, and AI processing providers acting as processors under our instructions.
• Authorities: where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.

Some processors may be located outside the EU/EEA. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, and that the transfer is necessary for the Service.

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Account and profile data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Messages and connection data may be retained in anonymised form for analytics.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure ("right to be forgotten"): request deletion of your data, subject to legal exceptions.
• Restriction: request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.

• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing.
• Withdrawal of consent: at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

As Raahee serves Indians living across Europe, your data may be processed in the EU/EEA and, where necessary, in countries outside the EEA that the European Commission has deemed to provide an adequate level of data protection, or under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the Service or by email. The "last updated" date above indicates when the policy was last revised.
